PC-ORD Version 7 Fixes

These are PC-ORD Version 7 and associated fixes (specific list of fixes below).

Note these fixes will only work if you have purchased PC-ORD Version 7.

Download if the last version update below is greater than your version noted in the Help/About of PC-ORD.

XP or Earlier

  

Vista, 7, 8, 10, or 11

  1. Download and save the fix file as
    pc7fixes.exe in your
    My Downloads folder.

  2. If PC-ORD is already running,
    exit before continuing.

  3. With Windows Explorer, navigate
    to the My Downloads folder and
    right click on pc7fixes.

  4. From the popup menu select
    Run As and then uncheck
    Protect my computer and data
    from unauthorized program activity    .

  1. Download and save the fix file as
    pc7fixes.exe in your
    Downloads folder.

  2. If PC-ORD is already running,
    exit before continuing.

  3. With Windows Explorer, navigate
    to the Downloads folder and
    right click on pc7fixes.

  4. From the popup menu select
    Run As Administrator

  5. Leave the "overwrite" box checked.

You will know the update was successful when the PC-ORD title bar
reflects the latest version number above.

Most recent machines have 64 bit Windows, but if you have an older 32-bit machine, when you run pc7fixes.exe, click the Browse button and change "Unzip to folder:"

                 C:\Program Files (x86)\PCORD 7

If after updating you get a script error with the PC-ORD help,
do the follow to register the HHActiveX.dll

  1. Click the Windows Start button.

  2. Select Run.

  3. In Open, enter one of the following:

    For 64 bit (x64) Windows enter
    regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\PCORD 7\HHActiveX.dll"

    For 32 bit Windows enter
    regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\PCORD 7\HHActiveX.dll"

  4. Click OK.

 


Specific PC-ORD Fixes

* ver. 7.11  Summary | Write distance matrix | Result file, fixed formatting error that repeated one value in result file. Updated Help file.

* ver. 7.10  MRPP, fixed premature termination when calculating pairwise comparisons.

* ver. 7.09  For increase in speed, NMS autopilot now responds to the option to turn off real-time stress plots (Output Options | Plot Stress by Iteration). Including this graph is a fixed time cost of about 2 minutes for slow and thorough autopilot, regardless of data set size. For medium thoroughness the cost is about 15 sec, and for quick, the cost is less than 1 sec. Glean, fixed premature interruption of output at end of gleaning. Compact data format, increased limit for number of nonzero items in a single sample unit from 1000 to 6000. Help system, minor updates and corrections. Profiler, increased maximum number of outliers to report and corrected conditions for calculating beta diversity. MRPP, fixed problem excluding groups by value label. ISA, improved clarity of group labeling in the case of excluded groups and text-based categorical variables.

* ver. 7.08  Redundancy Analysis (RDA), removed limitation for writing only the first 100 columns in residual matrices, increasing it to 1000. PCA - Fixed truncated listing of column headers in cross products matrix. Changed contact addresses in Help system to Wild Blueberry Media.

* ver. 7.07  Advisor, removed unnecessary block on calculating dust bunny indices for matrices with empty rows.

* ver. 7.06  Fixed Modify | Append/Augment Excel files not displaying.  Fixed Ordination | NMS Scores failure to start.

* ver. 7.05  Fixed problem with underestimates of xR2 in Graph Ordination | Contour Overlay when R2 is near zero.  Improved and unified smoothing algorithms among Contour Overlay, Hilltop Plot, and Envelope Curves.  Because of these changes the default flexibility was changed to 8.2 to yield similar results to the old algorithm with default of 3.0.  Added Convex Hull Intersections to write variables indicating membership within convex hull polygons or combinations of polygons.

* ver. 7.04  Fixed typo in explanatory statement for dust bunny index output from Advisor | Show Current Profile.  Fixed Modify Data | Delete Columns from a Main Matrix by filtering from a Traits Matrix.  Fixed two-way clustering options unnecessarily grayed out when the main matrix has negative values.  Added 'None' Axis option to Ordered Main Matrix.

* ver. 7.03  Cluster analysis, fixed intermittent failure to write grouping variable into a new second matrix.  Fixed saving and printing 2D overlay graphs after changing Options | Preferences | Fonts | Tick Labels.  Fixed File | Export | Excel Spreadsheet for regions with comma as decimal separator.

* ver. 7.02  Fixed Indicator Species Analysis misreporting expected number of indicator species as zero.  Fixed batch file gleaning returning zeros for Mantel's r.

* ver. 7.01  Fixed conflict in option selections in Traits | Calculate SU x Traits matrix.  Fixed Advisor | Wizard.
